OSU Is 15th In Wrestling Poll

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State fell one place to No. 15 this week in the National Wrestling Coaches Association poll. OSU (5-3 overall, 2-1 Pacific-10) will compete in the Oregon Wrestling Classic Duals on Friday at Portland's Memorial Coliseum, the Beavers take on Southern Oregon, the fifth-ranked team in the NAIA, at 4 p.m. and then Portland State in a Pacific-10 meet at 8 p.m.

OSU had six wrestlers in this week's individual national rankings. The highest in the listings were heavyweight Jason Cooley, who was rated sixth by Amateur Wrestling News and seventh by InterMat, and 174-pounder Nathan Coy, who was rated sixth by AWN and eight by IM.

Oregon State 157-pounder Eric Jorgensen was ranked seventh by AWN and ninth by IM, 125-pounder Nathan Navarro was ranked 10th by AWN and 13th by IM, 184-pounder Isaac Weber was ranked 19th by AWN and 17th by IM, and 141-pounder Shane Cunanan was ranked 20th by AWN. Beaver 133-pounder Ben Richards slipped from the national rankings.
