Cougs Travel To Seattle For Pacific-10 Indoor Championships

PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State women's tennis team opens its spring season this weekend at the Pacific-10 Indoor Championships in Seattle.

The Cougars, ranked 62nd in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's rankings, will compete Friday-Sunday.

WSU will face tough competition as all nine Pacific-10 teams appear in the rankings. Stanford is the number one team, followed by California (fifth), Arizona State (seventh), UCLA (ninth), USC (12th), Arizona (24th), Washington (26th) and Oregon (54th).

WSU has five players in the individual rankings. Junior Erica Perkins is the team's top ranked singles player at 51st. Freshman Dybicz is tied for 84th.

Dybicz and fellow freshman Lorena Arias are the Cougars highest rated doubles team at 49th while senior Tamara Filipovic and freshman Stacy McKenna are tied for 50th.

The Cougars open the dual portion of their spring schedule at Stanford, January 26.
