ASU Women's Tennis Prepares For Final Day of Pac-10 Indoor Tournament

TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State's Jennifer Baker, Celena McCoury, and Adria Engel continued action in the second day of this year's Pac-10 Indoor Tennis Tournament, hosted by the University of Washington at the Lloyd Nordstrom Tennis Center.
After knocking off Michelle Gough of the University of Arizona and then defeating No. 21-ranked Keiko Tokuda from Stanford in quarterfinal action, Engel advanced past the semifinals with an impressive 4-6, 6-4, 6-0 win over Washington State's Erica Perkins. Engel will play in the singles finals tomorrow on the final day of the tournament. McCoury, playing in the No. 2 flight, defeated Washington State's Zorana Rogonovic in the consolation quarterfinals,6-0, 6-1.
In doubles action, Baker and McCoury teamed up against Laura Granville and Gabriela Lastra in the first round of the No. 1 flight, but unfortunately fell to the Stanford duo, 8-5.
The final day of the tournament resumes action at 9 a.m. (PST) tomorrow.
