Coming off a 79-72 victory at Oregon State, California (5-9, 1-3 Pac-10, T8th) returns home to face Stanford, Saturday, Jan. 20 at noon. This is the third-straight week Cal is featured on the FOX Sports Net Game of the Week. The Golden Bears have an excellent opportunity to claim their first win over the Cardinal (7-7, 1-3 Pac-10, T8th) since 1993 as their arch rival has lost six-of-eight games and are 0-6 on the road.

The win over the Beavers gave first-year head coach Caren Horstmeyer her first Pac-10 victory, snapped a three-game losing streak and was Cal's first triumph in Corvallis since 1991-92. Five Bears scored in double-figures against OSU for the first time since Cal defeated Fresno State, 82-66, last season.

Cal halted a trend of poor second-half performances against Oregon State by holding on to a 32-31 halftime advantage. The Bears have led at the half in three-of-four Pac-10 games but are only 1-2 in those contests and are 5-2 overall when leading heading into the locker room.

For the first time since Cal visited Arizona, Jan. 6, 2000, the Bears might sport a full roster for the Stanford game. Senior center Genevieve Swedor has missed the last four games with a separated right shoulder but possibly will be cleared to play against the Cardinal.

After shooting a season-best 51.9 percent from the field against OSU, the Bears field goal percentage has reached 40 percent for the first time all season.

A 2000 honorable mention All-Pac-10 selection, senior guard Courtney Johnson paces Cal's offense with 12.3 ppg and its defense with 2.4 spg. Johnson hopes to become the 16th player in school history to reach the 1000-point milestone. With 824 points, the Cal tri-captain must average 12.6 ppg over the remaining 14 games to accomplish that feat. Senior guard Kenya Corley is second on the team in scoring at 10.8 ppg and is first in league games with 11.5 ppg.

Junior center Ami Forney and senior forward Lauren Ashbaugh have been the Bears workhorses on the boards, averaging 7.6 rpg and 6.1 rpg, respectively, which ranks second and 11th in the Pac-10.
