Day One of Bruin Invitational Underway

Los Angeles, CA- Day one of the Bruin Invitational at the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center got underway as the men's one-meter and women's three-meter events took place on Friday. The Bruins were led by senior Anne Baghramian who finished second in both the prelims and finals on the three-meter.
USC's Nicci Fusaro was the top finisher in both the prelim and finals of the women's three-meter, tallying 523.05 points. Baghramian was a close second with a score of 467.35, followed by Fusaro's teammate, USC's Kellie Brennan who was third with 464.80.
Heidi Prosser of UCLA finished fourth with a score of 453.80 followed by Rebecca McFall of Kansas who scored 429.10 to round out the top five.
On the men's side, Hawaii's Michael Gowdy came from behind after finishing second in the prelims, to claim the one-meter title with a score of 350.55. Ray Vincent of USC, who lead after the prelims, finished second with a score of 293.65. Rounding out the top five: Hawaii's Jonathan Coyle (3rd/267.40), USC's Adam Rokoff (4th/225.30) and Ross Opoku of UC Davis (217.70).
Tomorrow's events includes the women's one-meter and men's three-meter beginning at 10 am, and the final event of the invite, the men and women's platform will start at 3 pm.
