Jeff Krohn To Participate in Community Outreach Project

Jan. 23, 2001

TEMPE, Ariz - Arizona State quarterback Jeff Krohn will take part in a community outreach event on Wednesday, Jan. 24, acting as a mentor to boys ages 8 to 13 as part of the Save the Family program in Mesa.

Save the Family is a transitional housing program for homeless families with children. Throughout the school year, several Arizona State student-athletes will make visits to the Save the Family facility to spend time and mentor children involved in the program.

The event is sponsored by the Sun Devil T.A.L.E.S (Talk About Life Experiences Through Sports), a speaker's bureau which arranges for student-athletes to interact with children in local schools and community programs on a variety of topics. T.A.L.E.S is a part of the Sun Devil Life Skills program which provides opportunities for student-athletes to engage in service to their campus and surrounding communities.

For more information, please call Gina Sperry, Coordinator of Sun Devil Life Skills, at (480) 965-0134.
