Women's Basketball Defeats Oregon State 87-76

STANFORD, Calif. - Lauren St. Clair scored a season-high 24 points, including a career-high six three-pointers, and Stanford defeated Oregon State 87-76 on Saturday night for its seventh straight victory.
Lindsey Yamasaki added 19 points as the Cardinal (8-3, 14-7) moved into a first-place tie in the Pac-10 with Washington and Arizona State. Enjoli Izidor had 18 points and Nicole Powell 13 for Stanford, which has its longest winning streak in two years.
Felecia Ragland scored 26 points and Ericka Cook added a season-high 22 points to lead the Beavers (3-8, 11-10), who have lost 15 straight in Maples Pavilion. Oregon State has lost its last five overall.
Stanford, the conference leader in 3-point fied goal percentage, matched its school record with 14 three-pointers led by St. Clair's 6-of-11 performance.
After Ragland hit a jumper to open the second half, the Cardinal scored the next eight points to take a 39-38 lead.
The Beavers regained the lead moments later on a Ragland three-pointer, but Stanford stayed close.
Powell's driving jumper with 9:37 left to play gave the Cardinal a 61-59 edge. Stanford eventually led by as many as 14 points.
The Beavers did come within four points on a pair of free throws from Cook with less than six minutes to play, but could get no closer.
Oregon State held the lead through much of the first half, though Stanford came back to tie it at 27 when St. Clair hit a three-pointer at 3:37 of the first half.
The Beavers outscored Stanford 9-4 the rest of the way to take a 36-31 halftime lead.
