Men's Basketball Player of the Week (2/12/01)

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - CALIFORNIA senior forward Sean Lampley has been named the Pacific-10Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 5 - 11, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Lampley, from Chicago, Ill., averaged 24.5 points and 6.0 rebounds in a pair of road wins over Oregon State and Oregon as the Golden Bears have won 17 of their last 20 games.
He scored a career-high 32 points on 9-of-12 (.750) shooting from the field, including the game-winning three-pointer with 0:00.1 remaining to lift the Bears to an overtime win at Oregon State. He also hit 12-of-14 (.857) from the line, with a pair of rebounds, four assists and two steals. In the win at Oregon, Lampley tallied his sixth double-double of the season with 17 points on 7-of-12 (.583) shooting from the field, with 10 rebounds. For the week, he shot 16-of-24 (.667) from the field and 15-of-17 (.882) from the free throw line.
It is the second weekly award for Lampley, the 25th all-time honor for the Golden Bears.
