FALLING RECORDSSenior All-American Chael Sonnen's (197) 13 pins so far this season has vaulted him to second on Oregon's career chart for career pins. Sonnen's 45 career pins is eight shy of Don Brown's (1977-80) record of 53. Sonnen is currently third for most falls in a season (13) and needs just five more to move to second for the 2001 season. Sonnen's 99 career victories also places him eighth on Oregon's career victories list. Sophomore Eric Webb (Heavyweight) is also making a run at the record books. Webb has seven pins this season and needs three more to move into the top 10 for pins in a season.
ALL-AMERICAN BOYSBoth Sonnen and Doug Lee will be looking to become two-time All-Americans this season. Sonnen was an All-American in 1998 after finishing with a 30-13 record, including 14 pins. Lee is a two-time Pac-10 Champion and finished fourth at the NCAA Tournament last season to earn his first All-America honor.
