UW Women Golfers in 10th Place at Arizona Invitational

Tucson, AZ - Washington sophomore Louise Friberg fired an even-par 72 and is in seventh place after two rounds at the Arizona Invitational at The Raven Golf Course in Tucson. The Huskies are in 10th place heading into the final round after shooting a 307 to finish with a two-day score of 612. Host Arizona continues to lead the tournament at 583, four shots ahead of Duke.
Friberg's 72 tied a career-low and was her best round of the season. She is 1-over for the tournament, five shots behind Duke's Candy Hannemann who leads at 4-under 140. Four of the six golfers currently ahead of Friberg are among the top-eight in the country, including top-ranked Lorena Ochoa from Arizona, who is in second place at 1-under.
Kelli Kamimura carded a 78 for the Huskies and is in 46th place, tied with Tulsa's Stacy Prammanasudh, the country's sixth-ranked player. Washington teammates Lindsay Morgan and Elisha Au are both in 56th with a score of 157 and Jamie Michaud finished the day at 166.
The final 18 holes will get underway Wednesday at 8 a.m.
