Women's Golf In Fourth Place Heading Into Final Round Of Wildcat Invitational

Tucson, Ariz. - The No. 3 USC women's golf team shot a 299 second round on Tuesday to stay in contention for the team title at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational held at The Raven golf course in Tucson, Ariz., on Mon.-Wed. (Feb. 19-21).
The Women of Troy have a two round total of 594, 11 strokes back of first place Arizona (583). Duke is second (587), followed by Texas (592), USC, then Stanford (599).
Sophomore All-American Candie Kung shot her second straight round of 72 and is tied for third (along with three other golfers) with an even par 144, four strokes back of leader Candy Hannemann of Arizona (140). Hannemann's teammate, Lorena Ochoa, is in second place (143).
Also for USC, sophomore Mikaela Parmlid is tied for 12th (149), senior Nicole Dalkas is tied for 16th (150), junior Leila Chartrand is tied for 23rd (151) and freshman Anna Rawson is tied for 82nd (166). Sophomore Yon Yim, who is competing as an individual, is tied for 72nd (162).
The Women of Troy wrap up the Arizona Wildcat Invitational on Wednesday, then don't compete again until Mar. 12, when the Pioneer Bruin Classic in Menifee, Calif., gets underway.
