Marc Briggs Snaps School Record At Pac-10 Diving Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. -- Arizona State senior diver Marc Briggs erased a 13-year old school record in the 3-meter dive in the first day of the men's and women's Pacific-10 diving championships at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash., Thursday.
Although results from the final round were not provided by the host institution, Briggs' second-place preliminary score of 365.25 broke Dan Plant's best of 358.15, which had stood as ASU's school record since 1982.
The Pac-10 diving championships began Thursday in conjunction with the Pac-10 women's swimming championships. Competition will continue Friday in two diving events and seven swimming events.
Friday's women's swimming events: 200y medley relay (finals only), 800y free relay (finals only), 400y individual medley (prelims/finals), 100y butterfly (prelims/finals), 200y freestyle (prelims/finals), 100y breaststroke (prelims/finals), 100y backstroke (prelims/finals).
Friday's diving events: men's 1-meter (prelims/finals) and the women's 3-meter (prelims/finals).
