WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - STANFORD sophomore forward Casey Jacobsen has been named the Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 26 - Mar. 4, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Jacobsen, from Glendora, Calif., averaged 19.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in road wins over USC and UCLA, enabling Stanford to clinch at least a share of the Pac-10 title.

He opened the week with 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field, 4-of-6 from three-point range, with four rebounds in the win at USC. In the win at UCLA, Jacobsen was one of four Stanford starters to score 16 points as he hit 5-of-11 shots, 1-of-3 from three-point range, and added four rebounds and four assists. His performance on defense helped limit Jason Kapono, UCLA's leading scorer at 17.0 points per game, to eight points on 2-of-7 shooting. For the week, he shot 13-of-24 (.542) from the field, 5-of-9 (.556) from three-point range.

It is the first weekly award for Jacobsen, the 27th all-time honor for the Cardinal.
