Men's Tennis Hosts Portland State In Last Home Match

The Ducks will play their last home match of the season on Saturday versus the Portland State Vikings. The Vikings (1-7) come into the match having lost their last seven. Their only win of the season came against George Fox. Meanwhile, the Ducks look to increase their winning streak to three matches.


Oregon won both of their weekend matches, defeating Portland, 6-1 on Saturday and Santa Clara, 6-1, on Sunday. Oregon's No. 2 doubles tandem of Jason Menke and Buck Mink's victory against Santa Clara was their fifth consecutive win. Oded Teig's had two victories this weekend, he has now won seven out of his last nine matches and leads the Ducks with a 17-9 record. Freshman Buck Mink has won five out of his last six matches.


After this weekend, the Ducks will end a seven match homestand. The Ducks have faired well in their first season playing at the Student Tennis Center, putting together a 5-5 home record thus far. Oregon will take its 2-1 road record to South Alabama on March 27, marking the beginning of a string of eight consecutive away matches to close out the season.
