Sun Devils And Oral Roberts Baseball Game Rained Out

March 7, 2001

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The scheduled college baseball game between the No. 8 Arizona State Sun Devil baseball team and the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles has been rained out due to the rainy conditions in the Phoenix area.

The Sun Devils won the opening game of the brief two-game series, destroying the Golden Eagles 17-3 Tuesday night. Casey Myers led the Devils with a 4-for-5 night, including two RBI and his third home run of the year. The 14-4-1 Sun Devils have now endured five rainouts this season, with three coming at home. Arizona State will attempt to play three games this weekend when South Florida (7-7) comes to Packard Stadium.

ASU and Oral Roberts will attempt to make the game up when the Sun Devils visit Oklahoma in mid April. ASU faces the University of Oklahoma on April 18 at Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City, possibly creating a day-night doubleheader with Oklahoma and Oral Roberts.
