#17 Washington Downs Women's Tennis

The University of Oregon women's tennis team fell to No. 17 Washington, 6-1, Friday afternoon at the Lloyd Nordstrom Tennis Center. The Ducks drop to 3-7 on the season (0-6 Pac-10), while the Huskies improve to 10-4 (4-1 Pac-10).

Oregon was unable to earn a point in singles contests. Courtney Nagle and Adeline Arnaud battled for three sets each before falling to Washington's Erin Boisclair and Erin Hoe.

Oregon won two out of the three doubles matches to earn one point. At No. 2, Oregon's Davina Mendiburu and Janice Nyland put away Colleen Gray and Kristina Kraszewski in a close 9-7 match, while Adeline Arnaud and Janette Mattsson, playing at the No. 3 spot, defeated the Washington tandem of Andrea Coulter and Hoe, 8-4.

The Ducks will face #48 Washington State on Sat., Mar. 10 at 1:30p.m. in Pullman.
