Michelle Greco Named First-Team All-Pac-10
March 12, 2001
Walnut Creek, CA - UCLA junior Michelle Greco earned first-team All-Pac-10 honors for 2000-01, giving UCLA the distinction of being the only school in the conference to have at least one All-Pac-10 performer in each year the league has existed.
Greco, a 5-9 guard from La Crescenta, CA, was UCLA's leading scorer in 2000-01 with an average of 19.88 points per game. She led the Pac-10 in scoring for most of the season and currently leads in free throw percentage with a .865 clip (77-89, the fourth-best single-season performance in Pac-10 history). She scored 20+ points 16 times this year, including a 34-point effort against Long Beach State.
This past week, she became the 19th player in school history to record 1,000 career points and finishes the season with 1,040. Greco also broke the school single-season three point field goals made record with 50.
Greco was an honorable mention all-conference selection a year ago and also earned first-team All-Freshman honors in 1998-99.
