No. 3 Women's Golf In Fourth After First Round Of Pioneer Bruin Classic

The No. 3 USC women's golf team shot a 293 first round and sits in fourth place heading into the final day of the Pioneer Electronic Bruin Classic held at Menefee Lakes Country Club in Menefee Lakes, Calif., on Mar. 12-13 (Mon.-Tues.).
The Women of Troy are just two strokes behind tourney host UCLA (291), with Pepperdine and Oklahoma in second (292). Texas A&M is fifth (295).
Sophomore All-American Candie Kung shot a two-under-par 70 to tie for second with Katherine Hull of Pepperdine. Angie Yoon of Nevada is first after shooting a 68.
Also for USC, freshman Anna Lee (competing as an individual) is in a tie for 6th after shooting an even par 72, while sophomore Mikaela Parmlid and junior Leila Chartrand are tied for 11th with a score of 73.
Play at the Pioneer Classic wraps up tomorrow (Mar. 13).
