TEMPE, Ariz. -- Days after she set a school record in the all-around, Arizona State junior Laura Moon was named the Pacific-10 Conference's Gymnast of the Week for March 5-12, Tuesday.
Led by the second perfect-10 of her career on the uneven bars, Moon competed to a 39.6 in the all-around to lead then-No. 7 ASU to the ninth-best meet total in school history and a 196.15-194.25 victory over Auburn, March 9.
Moon's all-around total surpassed the previous ASU best of 39.575 established by Meagan Wright in 1997, while her 10.0 on bars was the 15th perfect score in ASU history, third ever on bars.
This is the second time this season Moon has been named the Pac-10's Gymnast of the Week. Moon also won for the week of Feb. 21-26, after she scored the first 10.0 of her career to lead ASU to a trio of victories at the UNO's Classic Feb. 23.
