Men's Tennis Still Atop The Polls

Princeton, NJ -- The UCLA men's tennis team is still the No. 1 ranked team in the latest Collegiate Tennis Rankings administered and released today by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA)

UCLA (12-0) is No. 1 in the men's Division I top 25 for the fourth straight week.

The UCLA men picked up Pac-10 wins over Southern California, Arizona and Arizona State last week after being idle for two weeks. The Bruins improved to 12-0 on the season after defeating Kentucky, 7-0 yesterday.

Rounding out the top ten are: Stanford (9-1), Duke (7-1), Texas A&M (11-2), TCU (9-2), Washington (12-4), Georgia (9-1), SMU (9-0), Tennessee (8-2) and Pepperdine (9-3). Fourth-ranked Texas A&M moves to its highest ranking this season aftertopping then No. 3 TCU last week.

The next 15 spots in the men's poll are: Texas, Illinois, Virginia Commonwealth, South Alabama, Mississippi State, LSU, Mississippi, Auburn, Southern California, Alabama, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Miami (Fla.) and Baylor. Auburn, Notre Dame and Ohio State are new to the top 25this week.

The Bruins return to competition tomorrow (Mar. 15) in a match against No. 10 Pepperdine at the LA Tennis Center. The match is scheduled to begin at 1:30 pm.
