March 15, 2001

CORVALLIS, OR - Oregon State junior guard Felicia Ragland was named to the Associated Press honorable mention All-America team on Tuesday.

Ragland, the Pacific-10 Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Year, is the first Oregon State player to receive All-America recognition since Tanja Kostic in 1996. Kostic earned second team AP honors as a senior.

Ragland currently leads the Pac-10 in scoring with 19.9 points per game. The 5-9 guard ranks fifth in the conference in rebounding (7.5 rpg.), third in steals (2.61 spg.), first in 3-point field goal percentage (.466) and third in 3-pointers made (2.21).

On the season, the Tulare, CA native has buried 62 3-point baskets, shattering the OSU single season record of 43. Ragland has reached double figures in scoring in 26 of 28 games, posted seven double-doubles and scored 20+ points on 14 different occasions and has scored 30+ points three times.

Ragland is one of just eight Oregon State players to score 1,000 (1,150) career points and grab 500 career rebounds (521).
