Berglund And Jordan Leave WSU Women's Basketball Team

PULLMAN, Wash. - Sophomore center Kelley Berglund (Port Angeles, Wash.) and freshman guard Rebecca Jordan (Kingman, Ariz.) will be transferring at the conclusion of spring semester Washington State women's basketball coach Jenny Przekwas announced Monday.

'I have made the decision I will not be returning to WSU next year,' Berglund said. 'I'm not sure of the direction I will be going, but I am looking forward to the opportunities that may develop. WSU is a fine university and I wish both my teammates and the athletic department much success.'

Przekwas stated, 'We are disappointed that Kelley and Rebecca are leaving the program. We respect their decision and wish them the best as they pursue their academic and athletic careers elsewhere.'

Berglund saw action in 28 games during the 2000-01 season, starting 17. She finished the year averaging 9.2 points and 5.5 rebounds a game. Jordan played in 11 games averaging 2.4 points and 1.0 rebounds a contest.

The Cougars finished the 2000-01 campaign 11-17 overall and 6-12 in the Pac-10.
