Cougars Card 303 in First Round at Duck Invitational

EUGENE, Ore. --- Playing in their second event in a three-day span, the Washington State men's golf team carded a 303 and is in 10th place after the first round of the Oregon Duck Invitational being played at the par 72 Eugene Country Club.

The host Oregon Ducks jumped to a one-stroke advantage over Arizona State to claim an early lead on the team leader board. Washington is four strokes back in third place.

Oregon's Aaron Byers is the individual leader after the first day of play after shooting a four-under par 66. Arizona State's Brian Nosler is one stroke back in second.

Individual results were not available for Washington State. The final two rounds will be completed on Tuesday.
