Women's Tennis Wins Ninth in a Row

BERKELEY, CA - The No. 6-ranked Cal women's tennis team (13-2, 3-1 Pac-10) won their ninth match in a row after defeating the UCLA Bruins, 5-2, at the Hellman Tennis Courts.

Cal won four of six singles matches, while sweeping the Bruins in doubles. All four of the Cal wins in singles came in straight sets. At No. 1, senior Anita Kurimay made quick work of Catherine Hawley, 6-4, 6-1, while at No. 2, co-captain Christina Fusano defeated Petya Marinova, 7-5, 6-3.

Cal will host No. 1-ranked Stanford, Tuesday, April 10, at the Hellman Tennis Courts.
