WSU Switches Gonzaga For Baseball Game Tuesday at LCSC

April 9, 2001

PULLMAN - The Washington State University baseball team didn't skip a beat in switching the Gonzaga Bulldogs for the LCSC Warriors as Tuesday's opponent. The only change is the Cougars will now be the guests of the Warriors in Lewiston.

Monday WSU head coach Tim Mooney learned Gonzaga was not going to be able to make the trip to Pullman for the scheduled 2:00 p.m. Cougar home game. Mooney then called Warrior head coach Ed Cheff and the two agreed on a replacement game Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at the Warriors' home field.

WSU, coming off a 17-14 win over Arizona Sunday, will take a 12-21 overall record into Tuesday's game at LCSC. Mooney is expected to use several pitchers in Tuesday's non-conference contest, with either Tyson Thompson or Nick Kenyon expected to get the starting nod.

GAME CANCELLED: WSU's baseball game with Gonzaga Tuesday, April 10, in Pullman at Bailey-Brayton Field cancelled.

GAME ADDED: WSU added an away game with the LCSC Warriors for 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, at Harris Field in Lewiston.
