Dantzscher, Bhardwaj Named To All-Pac-10 Gymnastics Team

April 12, 2001

Walnut Creek, CA - UCLA standouts Jamie Dantzscher (San Dimas, CA) and Mohini Bhardwaj (Cincinnati, OH) earned a spot on the 2001 Pac-10 All-Conference team.

Dantzscher, a freshman and member of the 2000 U.S. Olympic team, was chosen on the uneven bars and floor exercise, the two events on which she is ranked No. 1 in the nation. Dantzscher won the Pac-10 floor title with a perfect 10.

Bhardwaj, the nation's top-ranked all-around performer, was not eligible for all-around or floor exercise consideration here because she had not competed in enough meets prior to the Pac-10 meet. She did, however, earn her second-consecutive all-conference honors on the uneven bars. Bhardwaj won the West Region bars title with a 9.975 and also claimed the Pac-10 all-around and vault titles, as well as the West Region all-around, bars and beam crowns.

All-Conference honors are based on Regional Qualifying Score (50%) and Pac-10 Championship score (50%).
