Brigita Langerholc Named Pac-10 Women's Track Athlete Of The Week

Senior All-American Brigita Langerholc has been named the Pac-10 women's track Athlete of the Week for her stellar 800 meter performance at the Brutus Hamilton Memorial Invitational this past weekend, the Pac-10 announced today (April 16).
Langerholc, who finished fourth in the 800 meters at the Syndey Olympics last summer, ran an NCAA automatic time of 2:04.77 to win the event held at Berkeley, Calif. Her time is the nation's leading time in the 800 meters. Langerholc, the USC school record holder at 1:58.51, is a three-time All-American in that event and also is a key component of the Women of Troy's 1600-meter relay.
The Women of Troy now have five NCAA automatic qualifying times in 2001. Other automatic qualifiers for the women include Angela Williams and Candace Young (100 meters), Juliana Tudja (hammer) and the 400-meter relay squad.
