Carolyn Moos Selected In Fourth Round Of WNBA Draft

STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford University senior center Carolyn Moos (Wayzata, MN/Blake School) was selected in the fourth round of Friday's WNBA Draft by the Phoenix Mercury.

Moos was the fifth pick of the fourth round and 53rd choice overall. The 6-foot-6 standout finished her collegiate career among the Stanford greats in three statistical categories - rebounds (20th, 497), points scored (23rd, 944) and points per game (24th, 8.5). She also ranked 10th on the all-time Pacific-10 Conference blocked shot list with 110, and earned either pre- or post-season recognition from the conference in each of her final three seasons. In 111 career appearances, including 83 starts, she averaged 8.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per outing.

Moos have plenty of company in the WNBA. On opening day of 2000, Stanford had more WNBA players than any institution with 13.
