2000-01... The Pac-10 gymnasts broke school and Pac-10 records on almost every apparatus. ARIZONA STATE, ARIZONA, UCLA, OREGON, STANFORD, and WASHINGTON each set new school records in its team total score. Fourteen gymnasts scored the elusive 'ten' with UCLA SR Mohini Bhardwaj earning the most with eight perfect scores this season (UCLA and Pac-10 record). UCLA FR Jamie Danzscher was close behind with seven such marks. Bhardwaj claimed the title of Pac-10 Gymnast of the Year. Freshman of the Year was STANFORD's Lindsay Wing and Coach of the Year was awarded to STANFORD's Mark Cook.

At the 2001 Pac-10 Championships, STANFORD entered the meet ranked No. 5. The Cardinal upset top-ranked UCLA (197.800) with a Pac-10 Championship meet record score of 197.850. The Cardinal was led by their extremely talented group of freshmen. FR Lise Leveille (1st beam-tie), Wing (1st beam-tie) and Caroline Fluhrer (1st vault-tie) became the first Cardinal gymnasts to win individual titles at the Pac-10 Championships. The host school, WASHINGTON finished the meet in third place. The Huskies' score of 197.475 was also a school record.

Every Pac-10 school was invited to an NCAA regional championship meet. UCLA represented the Pac-10 in the super-six finals where it captured its second straight NCAA championship and third in five years.STANFORD finished in eight-place at the NCAA Championships with ARIZONA STATE and OREGON STATE capturing the ninth and eleventh spots respectively.
