Women's Golfers Seventh after Second Round at Pac-10 Championships

The UCLA women's golf team is seventh after two rounds at the Pacific-10 Conference Championships at the Karsten Golf Course, hosted by Arizona State.

The Bruins' two-round total of 605 trails sixth place Washington by three shots and leads eighth place Oregon by 10 shots. Host Arizona State and Arizona are tied for first at 586, followed by Stanford at 589 and California at 590. USC is fifth at 594.

Freshman Saki Uechi fired a two-under par 70 Tuesday and vaulted into a tie for fifth place at 145. She trails tournament leader, Natalie Gulbis of Arizona, by three shots. Three players are tied for second.

UCLA senior Leilani Bagby is tied for 26th at 153, freshman Melissa Martin is tied for 29th at 154, senior Laura Moffat is tied for 36th at 155 and junior Alicia Um is tied for 39th at 156. Freshman Gina Umeck, playing as an individual, is tied for 11th at 147.

Final round action continues Wednesday.
