Women's Golf Takes Second At Pac-10 Championships

Tempe, Arizona - The Stanford women's golf team shot a one-under par 287 today at the Pac-10 Championships in Tempe, Arizona to finish second. Arizona also shot a one-under par 287 to remain three strokes up on the Cardinal to take the title. Rounding out the top five were Arizona State (883), USC (886) and Washington (890).

Stanford's three-day total of 876 is a season-low for the Cardinal. Stanford has finished in the top five in its last six tournaments.

Freshman Kim Kouwabunpat recorded her best finish of the season, tying for 5th (218) along with senior Stephanie Keever (218). Freshman Angela Rho fired a one-under par 71 on the day to finish the tournament tied for 15th. Senior Hilary Homeyer tied for 25th shooting a three-day total of 227 while sophomore Kim Rowton tied for 29th with a 228. Marcia Wallis, competing as an individual, tied for 48th with a 237.

Arizona's Lorena Ochoa won the individual title in a playoff, carding a 213 for the championship. Fellow Wildcat Natalie Gulbis took second.

Stanford is next in action at the Far West Regional in Corvallis, Oregon.
