UW's Ruby to Face No. 24 Seed in Semifinals of Pac-10 Invitational

OJAI, Calif. - Dillon Ruby of the University of Washington men's tennis team defeated Scotty Scott of Stanford to advance to the semifinals of the Pac-10 Invitational Championships in Ojai, Calif. Ruby took on the No. 32 seed and defeated the Cardinal in two sets, 6-3, 7-6. He will face Scott Lipsky in the semifinals on Sat., April 28 at 9:30 a.m.

Ruby, a sophomore out of Westlake Village, Calif., defeated Scott Merryman of USC and Ben Miles of California yesterday to advance to the quarterfinals. With the win this morning, Ruby improves his overall season record to 13-3.

The singles consolation rounds are expected to begin later this afternoon, along with the first two rounds of doubles play. The championships for both singles and doubles will be held on Sun., April 29 at 9:30 a.m.
