Hornets Down Stanford, 12-3

For the first time since May 8, 1995, the Hornets of Sacramento State buzzed the Cardinal with a 12-3 victory. The Hornets' win was keyed by a seven-run sixth inning. Sacramento State's Jeffery Groeger went the distance allowing just eight hits and no earned runs. With the victory, the Hornets snapped an eight-game losing streak versus Stanford.
The Hornets' Aurelio Jackson proved to be a tough out again as he reached base six times to continue his streak of reaching base in 14 consecutive plate appearances. Stanford's Jonny Ash went 2-for-3 to lead the Cardinal attack.
The loss drops Stanford to 35-13, while Sacramento State improves to 20-29.
