Women's Soccer Picks Up 2-0 Win Over USF

STANFORD, Calif. - The Stanford women's soccer team won its second game of the spring season with a 2-0 win over USF last Sunday at Maloney Field.

Sophomores Becky Myers and Marcia Wallis scored the goals for the Cardinal. Sophomore Kelsey Carlson tallied an assist as did freshman Robyn deHay.

For the second straight game, goalkeepers Nicole Barnhart and Carrie Walsh combined for the shutout.

Sophomore Callie Withers made her first appearance of the spring, and sophomore Ally Marquand returned to the squad for the first time in nearly a year after redshirting the 2000 season with a knee injury.

Next up for the Cardinal is an intersquad scrimmage on Saturday, May 5 at 9:00 a.m. Stanford also has UC Davis (May 19, 11 a.m.) and Santa Clara (May 24, 7 p.m.) on tap this spring. All games are played at Maloney Field, and admission is free.
