Men's Crew Takes Second In Windemere Cascade Cup

SEATTLE, Wash. - - The Oregon State men's third varsity eight rowed to a time of 5:51.57 and finished second in the Windemere Cascade Cup at the Windemere Rowing Regatta on Saturday in Seattle, Wash. The Beavers beat out three other boats and lost to Washington by just over nine seconds, as the Huskies turned in a time of 5:42.46.

In other racing, the varsity four took third in a five-boat race, as the Beavers finished in 7:00.95. Washington captured that race as well in 6:41.57.

The freshman eight challenged Washington all the way down the course, crossing the line in 6:11.43 to take second. The Huskies finished in 6:00.00.

OSU rows again May 13 when the Beavers hit the water in Sacramento at the Pacific-10 Championships.
