May 19, 2001

NORMAN, Okla. - The Washington-Massachusetts softball game, origionally scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. start Saturday, has been postponed due to poor weather conditions until Sunday at 10 a.m., at the OU Softball Field.

The winner of the UW-UMass game will then face top-seeded Oklahoma at 1 p.m., Sunday. The Sooners advanced to the championship game after edging the Huskies 3-2 early Saturday afternoon. Should either Washington or Massachusetts win the first game versus Oklahoma, the two schools would have to play one more game to decide which team will advance to the College World Series.
