Bruins Tied For Fourth At NCAAs

The UCLA women's golf team remained among the leaders after 36 holes at the NCAA Women's Golf Championships, hosted by Stetson University near Orlando, FL.

The Bruins are tied for fourth place just two shots behind the leaders. UCLA posted a team score of 299 Wednesday for a two-round total of 594, tied with Auburn. The Bruins trail first place Duke and Oklahoma State by two shots. Georgia is third at 593. Three shots behind UCLA in sixth place is Texas at 597.

Individually, UCLA senior Laura Moffat maintained her lead, posting a second straight three-under par 69 and boasts a 36-hole total of 138, six-under par. Freshman Melissa Martin is tied for 14th at 149, five-over par. Freshman Gina Umeck is tied for 32nd at 151, seven-over and senior Leilani Bagby is tied for 73rd at 156. Redshirt freshman Saki Uechi is tied for 93rd at 160.

Trailing Moffat is Auburn's Celeste Troche, who fired a 68, and is second at 140. Kate Hirris of LSU and Lindsay Wright are tied for third at 142.
