Bruins Sixth after Third Round at NCAA Golf Championships

The UCLA women's golf team is in sixth place entering the final round of the NCAA Women's Golf Championships, hosted by Stetson University near Orlando, FL at the El Campeon Golf Course at Mission Inn Resort.
Thursday, the Bruins posted a score of 299, 11-over par, and currently own a 54-hole total of 893, 29-over par. Duke leads the tournament at 882, 18-over par, followed by Georgia in second place at 886. Auburn and Texas are tied for third place at 888 and Oklahoma State is fifth at 892. Three shots behind the Bruins in seventh place is USC at 896.
Individually, senior Laura Moffat posted her first round above par, carding a three-over par 75. Her 54-hole total of 213 is three-under par and trails the leader, Katy Harris of LSU, by one shot. UCLA freshman Gina Umeck posted an even par score of 72 and is tied for 25th at 223. Freshman Melissa Martin shot a 73 and is tied for 21st at 222. Senior Leilani Bagby is tied for 82nd at 235 and freshman Saki Uechi is in 110th place at 243.
