Inside ASU Football

May 25, 2001

In this initial installment of 'Inside ASU Football', I want to start by telling everyone associated with Arizona State University how excited I am to be here. The entire coaching staff and our families are proud to be part of the tradition that is Sun Devil Football. I also want to thank the many people throughout the valley of the sun who have gone out of their way to make us feel welcome.

In coming weeks I will be writing about our summer program, mission statement, and fall camp at Tontozona. For now, a quick update on what's going on:

Tuesday, May 29

First day of summer school and week # 3 of summer conditioning. We expect 100% of our scholarship players to be in town training with Coach Kenn.

Wednesday, May 30

Women only Football Clinic! This is an event that is being held at Phoenix Country Club. The coaching staff really looks forward to this night because we have a lot of laughs, and get to share some football at the same time. There is still some room available, so tell all the female fans you know to come join us.

Sunday, June 3

One day instructional football camp for athletes going into 12th grade only!

Monday, June 4 - Friday, June 8

Half day instructional camp (non-contact) for athletes entering 7th 12th grades.

Friday June 8th and Friday June 15th

Annual passing league tournaments featuring many of the top high school teams in Arizona. New this year will be a 'lineman's challenge' to coincide with the passing league.

For more information on any of these events, check the website, or call our office at (480) 965-3429

Go Devils!
