Randall Shelley Inks Contract With Texas Rangers

Los Angeles - Randall Shelley (Coto de Caza, CA/Santa Margarita HS) agreed to terms with the Texas Rangers organization on Wednesday after being drafted in the 17th round of the Major League Baseball draft on Tuesday. Shelley was assigned to the Rangers' short season A team in Pulaski, Virginia of the Appalachian League.

Shelley was drafted in the 22nd round by the Rangers in 1998 out of high school. He started 115 games during his three year Bruin career and played in 139.
