USC Will Hold Memorial Service For McKay Later This Summer

Former USC football coach John McKay, who died Sunday, June 10, in Tampa, will be remembered at an on-campus memorial service that will be held later this summer in Bovard Auditorium.
The date and time of the memorial service will be announced later. The coach's widow, Corky, is currently undergoing treatment for a previous illness and plans to attend the campus service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Coach McKay's honor to the John McKay Fund, USC Athletic Department, c/o Don Winston, Senior Associate Athletic Director, Heritage Hall 203A, Los Angeles, CA 90089-0602.
McKay, who led the Trojans to four national championships and nine conference titles, died of kidney failure due to complications from diabetes. He compiled a 127-40-8 record from 1960 to 1975, winning more games than any football coach in USC history.
