Women's Basketball Adds Director Of Operations

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Heath Alexander is the newest addition to the Oregon State University women's basketball program and will serve as Director of Basketball Operations, announced head coach Judy Spoelstra Friday.

Alexander, a 1998 graduate of the University of Oregon, has served the past three years as JV boys basketball coach and varsity assistant at Marist High School in Eugene, OR. Prior to joining the staff at Marist, Alexander served four years as head men's basketball manager for the Ducks.

While at UO, Alexander conducted film exchange, helped arrange travel, game scheduling, film breakdown and was in charge of a five person managerial staff.

'Heath will be a great asset to our program,' commented Spoelstra. 'He has received some good instruction from coaches (Jerry) Green and (Ernie) Kent and will bring that knowledge with him.'

Alexander's duties for the Beavers will include video editing, equipment management, travel coordinating and on-campus recruiting.
