Greco Selected To Pre-Season All-American Team

Forest Hills, NY - UCLA women's basketball star Michelle Greco (La Crescenta, Calif./Crescenta Valley HS) has been selected to the Women's Basketball News Service All-American second-team.

Greco, a senior guard, led the Pac-10 in scoring in 2000-01 with a 19.9 per game average. Greco also led the conference in free throw shooting with a .865 percentage (77-89, the fourth-best single-season performance in Pac-10 history). She scored 20 or more points in 16 contests last season, including a 34-point performance against Long Beach State.

Greco and the Bruins will kick off the 2001-02 season with an exhibition game Nov. 6 against Slovakia.
