Indoor Practice Facility Tours Available

Sept. 18, 2001

Corvallis, Ore. - The public is invited to tour Oregon State University's new $10 million Indoor Practice Facility next week. The building is the newest addition in the ever-changing landscape of the school's athletic facilities.

The tours will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 25-27, and will be hosted by athletic department personnel.

'This is an excellent opportunity for our supporters to see a building that we are extremely proud of,' Director of Athletics Mitch Barnhart said. 'This building has been a goal of our administration and football program for some time. Seeing this project go from the fundraising aspect to the completed structure is a tribute to many individuals, especially our loyal supporters.'

The structure is 400 feet in length, 192 feet wide, and 55 feet high at midfield. The building joins the Valley Football Center, Paul Lorenz Field (soccer), the OSU Softball Complex, and Goss Stadium at Coleman Field (baseball) as athletic facilities that have been completely remodeled or constructed since 1996.
