Spencer Gloger Transferring To Princeton

Spencer Gloger, a 6-7 forward who would have been a sophomore on the UCLAsquad this year, has transferred to Princeton, Bruin head coach Steve Lavinannounced Wednesday.

It is Gloger's second stop at the Ivy League school. In May 1999, hesigned a Grant-in-Aid to attend UCLA, but instead enrolled at Princeton forthe 1999-00 school year. Gloger, who is from Mission Viejo and prepped atSanta Margarita HS, had a successful freshman season at Princeton. Hestarted 28 games, averaged 12.0 points and 3.4 rebounds and earnedhonorable mention All-Ivy League.

At the end of his freshman year at Princeton, Gloger transferred toUCLA. He sat out the 2000-01 campaign and would have been a sophomore onthis year's Bruin squad.

'From my conversations with Spencer, it is my understanding he has decidedto concentrate solely on his academics and as a result, will not playcollege basketball,' Lavin said. 'Whatever he decides to do, we respect hisdecision and wish him the best of luck.'
