Women's Golf Finishes Tied For 13th At NCAA Fall Preview

Auburn, Wash. - The USC women's golf team finished in a tie for 13th as the 2001 NCAA Fall Preview held at Washington National Golf Course in Auburn, Wash., was called after just 36 holes of play due to standing water on the greens on Wednesday (Sept. 26).
The Women of Troy shot 311 in the second round to drop into a tie with Pepperdine in 13th place, 18 strokes behind tourney champs Auburn and Texas (591). USC's 36-hole total was 609.
Junior Becky Lucidi led USC with a six-over-par 150 to tie for 23rd, while sophomore Anna Lee shot 151 to place 33rd. Sophomores Mikaela Parmlid and Anna Rawson shot 154 to tie for 54th, while junior Yon Yim shot 157 to tie for 79th.
Lorena Ochoa of Arizona won medalist honors with a five-under-par 139.
USC is next in action on Oct. 19-21 at the Stanford-Pepsi Women's Intercollegiate in Palo Alto, Calif.
