Men's Golf Tied For 14th At Preview Without Reavie

The Arizona State men's golf team, playing without U.S. Public Links champion Chez Reavie because of a wrist injury, is tied for 14th at the 2001 Ping/Golfweek Preview held at the Ohio State Scarlet Course (par 71/7,239 yards) after the first round. The event continues Saturday and Sunday with 18 holes each day.
The Scarlet Course will play host to the 2002 NCAA Championships May 27-June 1. It will mark the 10th time the historic course will host the event and the first time since 1995. ASU shot a 22-over 306 and is tied for 14th with Pacific. Clemson leads with a 4-over 288, followed by Wake Forest with a 5-over 289.
