Men's Golf In 14th Place At Preview

The Arizona State men's golf team, playing without U.S. Public Links champion Chez Reavie because of a wrist injury, is 14th at the 2001 Ping/Golfweek Preview held at the Ohio State Scarlet Course (par 71/7,239 yards) after the first round. The Scarlet Course will play host to the 2002 NCAA Championships May 27-June 1. It will mark the 10th time the historic course will host the event and the first time since 1995. ASU is at 33-over 602. Clemson leads with a 3-over 571, followed by defending NCAA Champion Florida with a 5-over 573.
