STANFORD junior forward Roger Levesque has been named the Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for Sept. 24-Oct. 1.

Levesque, from Portland, Maine, tallied eight points on the weekend to lead the Cardinal to its fifth straight Stanford/Nike Invitational Championship. Stanford posted 4-0 shutouts in each tournament game. Levesque scored three goals, notching the first hat trick of his collegiate career, in the win over Dartmouth Sept. 28. He followed that strong performance with two assists in the blanking of Fresno State Sept. 30. Levesque leads the team in goals scored this season with four.

Stanford (6-0-0), ranked No. 2 in this week's NSCAA/adidas poll and ninth by Soccer America, returns to action Thursday night when it hosts San Jose State at Maloney Field.

This is the first weekly honor for Levesque and Stanford's third Player of the Week honor all-time.
