Memorial Stadium Security Measures

Due to recent events around the world and in the interest of public safety, the following security measures will be in place at Memorial Stadium throughout the 2001 football season.

Fans will be prohibited from entering the stadium with coolers, backpacks and large bags. Small bags, such as purses and diaper bags, will be subject to search before entering the stadium. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and allow for additional time when entering the venue.

The following bags WILL BE ALLOWED into the stadium:

  • Open top canvas/vinyl tote bags
  • Standard paper or plastic grocery bags
  • Diaper bags (backpack type OK and patrons should be with child)
  • Purses no larger than 12' x 12'
  • Fanny packs no larger than 12' x 12'
  • Seat cushions with pockets
  • Lunch bags

The following type of bags that WILL NOT BE ALLOWED:

  • Backpacks
  • Coolers
  • Zippered tote or duffel bags
  • Purses larger than 12' x 12'
